Wm Jeffrey Cock

Principal

Jeffrey Cock is a Principal at Martin Wade Landscape Architects Limited. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Landscape Architecture and has since gained a wealth of experience working in the private industry sector.  While working with a multi-disciplinary firm, Jeffrey was a key member of their landscape architectural design and project management team, working on large scale hospitality and resort community planning projects.  Prior to his international experience Jeffrey was involved in numerous institutional and public space redevelopment projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.  Presently, Jeffrey is involved in the design and project management of a wide range of landscape architectural projects at MWLA across an expanding geography and typologies.  Recently, Jeffrey has led MWLA’s team on Net-Zero, LEED, and sustainability focused projects.

Jason Connacher

Project Manager

Jason holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph. Since working in the private business sector, Jason has gained tremendous knowledge and experience in the field. His project background spans the Ottawa valley to the southern tip of Ontario and has garnered him a firm understanding of the design process leading to implementation. Likewise, he has extensive experience developing conceptual, schematic, and detailed design drawings.

Currently, Jason is involved in a wide range of landscape architectural projects at MWLA ranging from residential gardens to large scale commercial and institutional developments. Recognizing that every site has unique characteristics and particular conditions, Jason works to produce the appropriate design for the space intended.

Zoë Scott

Landscape Architectural Intern

Having completed their Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph, Zoë Scott has built a strong foundation of knowledge on the profession. While working in the public sector, they contributed to a variety of projects from city-wide trail system and shoreline rehabilitation to seasonal streetscape revitalization and school playground design. Within the private sector, Zoë garnered project management experience leading interior biophilic design projects from concept to installation. This experience has provided valuable insight to the unique requirements in the landscape architectural design process needed to synthesize project expectations and existing site conditions, augmenting existing landscapes, improving accessibility, and managing environmental factors.

Since joining the team at MWLA in 2021, Zoë has been involved in a number of projects ranging from commercial and institutional developments to large- and small-scale residential projects, using creative problem solving and attention to detail to achieve the best outcome.”

Ramneek Bajwa

Landscape Architectural Intern

Ramneek holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the United States and a Master of Urban Design from the University of British Columbia. She is tremendously passionate about the role of design in mitigating the adverse effects of urban life on the mind and body. Originally from India, and having worked on numerous projects within India, the United Stated and Canada, Ramneek has gained immense knowledge in the field and is developing a global perspective on growing concerns around sustainability and resiliency of our habitable spaces.

In her current role at MWLA, Ramneek is involved in a wide range of landscape architectural projects varying from residential design to commercial and institutional developments in Ontario. In addition to her vocation, Ramneek also enjoys creating art, hiking, rock climbing and meditation.

Angela Donnelly

Financial Manager

Angela started one of the first organic delivery businesses in Toronto, Front Door Organics, which she successfully ran for 19 years before deciding to team up with Fresh City. In 2014 she and partner JJ finally made the leap to retail, opening Raise the Root in their Leslieville Neighbourhood with local business partner Amy Wilson.

As Financial Manager, Angela puts her savvy business skills to work on a multitude of tasks including financial and office management, budgeting, forecasting, and related accounting procedures.

Martin Wade

Founding Partner

Martin is recognized for his versatility in working across a range of design scales, from the intimate private terrace, to the community masterplan. Since the firm’s inception in 1984 Martin has built one of the industry’s sharpest reputations for his synthesis of design philosophy, material-savvy and formidable attention to detail. With a focus on responsible landscape design and development, Martin has left his mark across southern Ontario and eastern Canada.
